Classical Pilates for Redhill Residents

Redhill is about seven miles east of the studio, twenty minutes or so through Reigate and Betchworth on the A25. It is the busiest of the towns we serve, and for a good number of clients that contrast is precisely the appeal: leaving the retail park and the ring road behind and arriving somewhere with a green, a river and no through traffic to speak of.

Redhill is a commuter and hospital town, with East Surrey Hospital just to the south, and a great deal of local work involves either long hours seated or long hours on your feet on hard floors. Both wear on the same structures, the lower back, the hips, the shoulders and both respond well to controlled, progressive work rather than more intensity.

Classical mat Pilates is a good fit here because it is genuinely rebuildable from any starting point. Clients coming back after surgery, after pregnancy, or after simply years away from exercise start at the beginning of the original sequence and move forward only when the previous movement is solid. Nothing is skipped and nothing is improvised.

Groups stay small, so a class from Redhill is worth the drive in a way a large timetabled session in town rarely is. Private and semi private sessions are available for anyone who wants to start more carefully.
